UPCOMING SESSION: JUMP-BACK UP JULY [Online]
Wednesday, July 2, 7:00PM

This month the theme is Jump-Back-Up July where we focus on the key of Resilience - Find ways to bounce back. Life is rich with ups and downs and we find happiness in how we manage both. When difficulties arise, we can learn to lean on our natural resilience and science shows that there are lots of practical ways we can support ourselves through tough times.
Join the group via the form on this page to get access details for the session.
ABOUT THE GROUP
The Tennessee Group has been running since May 2023 and is facilitated by our wonderful volunteers Karen & Courtney.Groups provide the opportunity to gather regularly with like-minded people to explore the 10 Keys to Happier Living (evidence-based ways to create a happier and more meaningful life) and put them into action.
Fill in the form on this page to sign up and find out more.
Please note Groups are not a therapeutic intervention, rather an opportunity for peer learning and support in implementing the 10 Keys.
WHY JOIN THE GROUP
Joining an Action for Happiness group is a proven way to sustainably increase your happiness and satisfaction with life. The feedback we receive consistently highlights four key benefits:
- Feel a sense of belonging - experience community and friendship by sharing in a safe and positive space
- Get a positive boost - feel better and respond to tough times with more buoyancy and hope
- Discover new ways of action - Be inspired with new ways to build positive habits and set healthy trends in motion
- Receive consistent support - The regularity of meeting month after month with an encouraging community provides an anchor for your wellbeing
HOLDING A SAFE SPACE
Underpinning the sessions are our ‘Five Golden Rules’ which are designed to ensure participants agree to principles to respect and support each other:
- We really listen to each other - We practice giving each other our full attention and valuing the perspectives, experiences and insights that everyone brings
- We focus on what is working well - We practice turning our attention to the positive and valuable, such as the things we feel grateful for and can learn from
- We are open about our feelings - We notice our feelings and practice being open about them, recognising that being a little vulnerable in this way helps us all to connect
- We practice safe boundaries - We recognise this is not a space with a lot of mental health support. With this in mind, we make wise decisions about how much we open up so we don’t feel too vulnerable or uncomfortable
- We maintain a spirit of kindness - We find ways to be kind to ourselves and one another throughout the session, and practice this kindness regularly
