As Head of Movement Building at Action for Happiness, Alex has been at the forefront of innovating and popularising evidence-based wellbeing interventions for over a decade.
- Developed the 6-week Happiness Habits course, bringing life-changing impacts to thousands of people worldwide.
- Received the Positive Leadership Award 2023, highlighting their ability to blend personal well-being practices with effective and compassionate organisational strategies.
Buddhist Practice
Alex is an expert compassion and mindfulness facilitator, with over 20 years of meditation practice, including intensive annual retreats under several world-renowned teachers.
- Ordained to the Order of Interbeing under Thich Nhat Hanh with the name True Pure Treasure and the lineage name Diligent Compassion of the Heart.
- Awarded a scholarship to the Applied Compassion Training at Stanford University’s Centre for Compassion and Altruism Research.
Social Activism
Alex has addressed wellbeing inequality and social justice his whole career, starting with anti-corruption and democratisation programs in Ukraine in 2009 to his movement-building work today, inspiring a happier and kinder world.
- Helped develop Extinction Rebellion’s Regenerative Cultures strategy and training programme, promoting sustainable and nonviolent activism.
